Today I'm traveling home to the Big Easy, which-(no offense my beloveds) but it's really no vacation, or new experience. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to come home and see everyone..it's just that this particular travel day BLOWS. I woke up well before dawn. I had some great luck with security at LAX but that great luck also put me sitting in the airport for almost two hours. And I don't know how many of you know this-but LAX is a TERRIBLE airport. It blows. I lucked out AGAIN with my seat-I got one of those economy plus seats with the extra leg room... pretty sweet..
So ok maybe this travel day doesn't BLOW... but now I'm stuck in Salt Lake City for, oh... almost 8 hours... I'm here so long that travelocity sent me deals on hotels.
I will say this about Utah-it's freaking beautiful! I mean, the view coming in was astounding and I am definitely adding this to my list of places I want to photograph. Fo. Sho. (yes, I know i just went snoop dog but c'mon- I am beyond tired)
Also, the Salt Lake City airport is the cleanest one I've ever seen. The people are the friendliest, and the bathrooms smell like a bath and body works! Seriously-best public restrooms I've ever encountered all around. Lakeside mall could learn a thing or two from these guys.....
In 3.5 hours I'll be boarding a plane for Dallas (also an AMAZING airport) and then I'll hop on a plane for NOLA. This is by far the longest domestic travel day I've ever encountered, but it will all be worth it. And so far it's been one of the most pleasant ones.
