I know I especially need to take deep breaths, take it all in, and appreciate the world around me.
It's also really nice to be kinda sorta mildly afraid of something (death canyon) and strap yourself to a line and just let yourself go... JUST LET GO Y'ALL - we only have one life to live, so live it up.
ANYWAY - that's all for my live life to the fullest speech - More about the experience - I went to Grouse Mountain. In the summer months, they do a 5 line run. In the winter, it's 3. The two higher lines are the BEST. The mountain was still grazed with quite a bit of snow, which we had to hike through to get to the higher lines (DEFINITELY wasn't prepared for that workout!) the evergreen trees were...green, and the VIEWS of the city.. just incredible. Oh, and I got to ride a ski lift, which was actually slightly more terrifying than the actual zip lining.. Slow movement + heights = visions of falling to a broken neck dancing through my head.
My only regret - not having a Go Pro strapped to my head.
SO, moral of the story: If you haven't zip lined - DO it. I'm going to do it many more times in many more places - but I'm buying a go pro FIRST.
